Mrs. Shara Wade, Principal
Dear Northern Hills Families, Students, and Staff, It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Northern Hills Elementary. I am truly honored to join this school community and look forward to getting to know the students, staff, families, and traditions that make Northern Hills such a special place.
I bring to Northern Hills 21 years of experience including over a decade of leadership where I have served as an academic dean and an assistant principal at the elementary, and middle school levels. For the past four years, I have served as Assistant Principal at Camelot Elementary. Each role has helped shape the leader I am today and strengthened my belief that every child deserves a school where they feel safe, loved, encouraged, and supported.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Grambling State University in Louisiana. I continued my education by earning a Master of Education degree in Teaching Gifted and Talented from the University of Arkansas Little Rock and my Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
More than anything, I lead with heart. As a wife, mother, and educator, I understand the importance of strong partnerships between home and school. I believe relationships are the foundation of a strong school community, and I value the trust families place in us each day.
I am excited for what is ahead and working with the Northern Hills community as we Dream Big and Ride Forward!
Title IX Coordinator & Campus Behavior Coordinator
The Title IX Coordinator/Campus Behavior Coordinator is primarily responsible for maintaining student discipline and the implementation of this subchapter and for responding to all complaints of possible sex discrimination and coordinating proper responses to complaints.

Dr. Julie Craig, Assistant Principal
Hello, Northern Hills Community!
I am thrilled to continue my journey as a Bronco. This year marks my 17th year in North East ISD and my 20th year in education. Throughout my time in NEISD, I have had the privilege of serving as a special education teacher, behavior interventionist, and special education program coordinator. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTSA, a Master’s in Educational Administration from Lamar University, and a Doctorate in Learning and Organizational Change from Baylor University.
Beyond my professional role, I am a proud parent of two NEISD graduates and one current NEISD student; being a mother is the role I cherish most.
I deeply believe in preparing our students for the world outside our school walls by leading with both empathy and clear boundaries. I love this community and look forward to another wonderful year of working together!
